CASA GRANADA is located in Guadiana neighborhood a few blocks…
San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico
It is clear that something special has been found from the moment you enter through the door. Mature trees, lush vegetation and an explosion of colorful flowers create an atmosphere like a park, while the solid stone walls delineate the various areas. Of course two sculpted lions on each side of the main staircase welcome you to the main house. The gentle sound of the fountain with details of cobalt and quarry invite you to pause and immerse yourself in this wonderful property.
The room sets the stage for the spacious proportions enjoyed in the rest of the house. It offers a large fireplace sculpted in quarry and multiple windows and arches that allow us to see the adjoining dining room. This beautiful dining room is even more attractive with the large skylight throughout this space and accentuates a stone wall carved by hand.
Next to the dining room there is an informal sitting area lit with a wonderful dome vault, this area also has its own fireplace and access that communicates with the kitchen.
Located beyond the seating area is the solarium that boasts a glass wall with handmade iron decorations, while the ceiling of the room sports the detailed wooden beams that make the place even more cozy.
Another aspect of this large seating area is the huge window that surrounds the place giving an exceptional view of the terrace. This large terrace with mature trees and ample space to rest offers wonderful views of the city and some of the churches.
As expected in a house of this size, the master bedroom is huge. Start with a library / office, large enough for a large desk and various booksellers. This room includes glass gates that lead to a private patio with a fountain. From here you enter a room that functions as an office that also has a fireplace. The newly remodeled “Him” bathroom is classic in style.
The master bedroom has its own sitting area, fireplace and quarry details specially designed for that space that highlight the beauty of the room. The French doors lead you to a large private terrace which gives us a covered part, another open and of course another fireplace in addition to more beautiful views. A second bathroom “Ella” flaunts a beautifully accented Japanese tub with an exquisite mosaic. Both bathrooms have large bathroom furniture.
Another casual common area to sit is at the end of the stairs that lead to the second floor and which is also accentuated by another amazing vault as well as another fireplace sculpted in quarry. From here you can easily drive to any of the five bedrooms on this floor. Although they vary in size and style, most have a bathroom and have amazing vaulted ceilings. Two of them share a bathroom.
A sixth bedroom is located on the ground floor, near the entrance of the house and offers a main entrance, excellent for guests. Another small room just after the kitchen can function as a nursery or service room, even as an office.
When you decide to offer a party in this house, you can do it with great style. In addition to all the areas and terraces mentioned; another patio with very good shade, located to the right of the entrance and surrounded by vines and floral bushes offers you a nice and cozy place to do it. There is also an amazing pool with an adjoining area that can be used to enjoy pool parties.
The multiple amenities of this house range from a huge laundry room, independent service entrance, independent service bathrooms for men and women, bathroom for the gardener, large garage. In addition to all this this beautiful property is in very good condition and can be converted into a warm and homemade Bed & Breakfast.
